Spacious Room available in Woodhouse Leeds

The room

The room is on the first floor. It's spacious and comfortable with lots of natural light. The house is in Woodhouse, very close to the Ridge, the Chemic pub, and local shops. The pole in the room, unfortunately, isn’t staying!

There’s a spare room that we use for laundry and to host people (family/friends), some additional storage in the basement where the washing machine is, and a dishwasher in the kitchen. The landlords are pretty good about sorting out faults/repairs and you need to have two references.

Council tax comes to about £40 a month each, internet in £10 each and gas/water/electricity are variable but in the winter the bills come to about £110. Each housemate is responsible for managing a bill, and we’re good at transferring each other what we owe.

We’re a social house but respect each others space and work during the day (Mon-Fri) so it’s fairly quiet. It’s a mix of vegan and meat/vegi, and there’s a cleaning rota for shared spaces. There’s also a lovely, sweet cat called River.

The current housemates are,

Ghada: 33, PhD student. Likes reading, cooking, going to the cinema, and does a bit of volunteering.

Konnie: 36, Marketing Manager, love to cook and sing!

Tommy: 35 teaching assistant. Love music, animals, travelling and socializing

The room is available from the 1st of August but it may be possible to move in earlier..

Although we’re happy living with a mature student/post grad a student would still have to pay council tax.
