A friendly and ‘with-it’ older person with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person likes to be as independent as possible, but would value the friendly reassurance of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. The would also some practical help with tasks such as picking up shopping, cooking a few meals, carrying heavier/bulky items, accompanying on occasional walks and ad hoc errands and practical tasks as might be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a spacious double bedroom with large wardrobe, chest of drawers, large desk, dressing table, and there will be a brand-new double bed and mattress. The bathroom (bath with shower head) is shared with two other people. The Sharer can also use the kitchen and the garden. Photos to follow.

The property is in an excellent location in Wimbledon Village, just a 10-minute walk from Wimbledon Station, which is on the District Line and also National Rail services to Clapham Junction and Waterloo.

The person enjoys reading the newspaper, listening to the Radio, doing crosswords, playing solitaire and walks on the Common when they are strong enough. The person smokes a few cigarettes each day – either in the garden, or in the kitchen with the door open – although they haven’t smoked for 5 weeks at time of writing this. There is also a tabby cat.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
