Double room in a cozy flat with a garden

I am looking for a flat mate for a double room in a cozy flat with wooden floors and a garden. The room is carpeted and currently has a mattress, shelves, a couple of chests of drawers, mirror, desk and a rail for hanging clothes.

The house is situated on a lovely quiet residential road but has 3 train stations within a 20-minute walk (Tulse Hill, West Dulwich, West Norwood) then it’s 20 minutes to London Bridge and 13 minutes to Victoria. This convenient location also means that there are plenty of different shops, pubs etc. nearby. Brockwell Park, Dulwich Park are not far.

The hallway of outside the flat is regularly cleaned and the garden looked after by a gardener, neither of which we need to pay for.

I would like to live with someone with who I will get on and can hang out time to time. Please share a bit of info about yourself and why you think we may get on in your message. I’d like to get to know you a bit before, so either we could chat in the flat or go for a drink/coffee.

About me:
I'm Adela. I teach English as a second language to adult migrants and organise with them (work with them to build the understanding of their rights and capacity to defend them, collectively identify what is negatively impacting their lives e. g. poor housing or working conditions and take action to change it). I am passionate about this work as I want to contribute to bringing about a more equal world.

I do yoga and meditate because I value the powerful impact they can have on my mind and body. I like to dance salsa because I enjoy getting lost in the movement (I am not very good at it though!). I love traveling as it makes me more aware. I have gone around Europe hitchhiking and staying with Couch Surfers, went to an ashram in India and to dance salsa in Cuba. I go hiking in the mountains because it fills me with joy and appreciation for nature; recently went on a solo hiking trip in Montenegro. I like to read (although more recently I have got into audiobooks) books about politics, history, therapy and society (my memory is atrocious, so unfortunately don't retain much 😅). I am pescatarian (most of the time, but occasionally, in certain situations e. g. when someone offers me a homecooked meal with meat, I will eat it). My music taste is relatively eclectic; I like reggae, dub, ska, Balkan music, electro, drum n base, salsa, bachata and merengue (and probably some others that I am forgetting).
