Double Room on Caledonian Road - 6 Months

Hi!

I'm going away to study for 6 months - from late August to early February -, and looking for a short-term tenant to take my room while I'm away.

It's a medium-sized room in a flat on the Caledonian Rd - 5 minutes by bus, or 15 minutes by foot, from King's Cross Station. It's a fantastic area to live in, full of great pubs and restaurants and shops.

The room can come furnished or unfurnished depending on your preference. I'm more than happy to leave my desk and lamps and books, but if you'd rather the space be more 'your own' for the time you're staying, then I can easily shift it all into storage.

You'd be moving in at the same time as two new permanent tenants, as two other current flatmates are moving out at the same time as me. Beth, our good friend and flatmate who is staying behind, is in the middle of a PhD in Psychology, and loves indie music, gigs, and giving stick'n'poke tattoos.

There's a sizeable kitchen with an enormous freezer, a shared living room with a big flatscreen, an outdoor patio that we share with our amazing upstairs neighbours, another balcony that overlooks the Caledonian Rd., and a great shower with good water pressure.

Deposit is £875, but for some reason Spareroom isnt liking that. Bills are partially included - water is paid for by the landlord, and council tax + power + Internet usually comes to around £85/£90 a month per person. The house is really well insulated so we barely ever have the heating on, even in winter.

We've never had any issues with the landlord, and any problems we've raised with the flat have been dealt with within 24hrs.

We're keen to keep the current flat dynamic going - we love spending time together, throwing a house party, grabbing a drink and chatting in the kitchen, but we're also quite independent.
