Hi! I am looking for someone to move into my 2b/2br flat right next to Battersea Power Station. You will have the pictured family bathroom for your use (I have my own). The flat has an open plan kitchen/living room, floor to ceiling windows throughout, and a winter garden/balcony running the full length of the flat so there is lots of natural light. It also has comfort cooling which is a godsend in the summer months. The flat is on the 5th floor and overlooks the private residents’ garden, so it is nice and quiet despite being so close to the power station and all of the shops and restaurants.
You will also have access to the BPS Phase 1 resident facilities for no extra charge which include:
- 24/7 concierge (who can sign for packages if you’re out);
- Gym (with a couple of free daily classes);
- Swimming Pool;
- Sauna, steam room and jacuzzi;
- Residents’ bar with a terrace overlooking the river and power station;
- Cinema/screening room;
- Other resident’s spaces including co-working space, dining area, games room and viewing rooms over the river; and
- Aurora Gardens, the residents’ private garden.
There are all the usual necessities including a washer/dryer, vacuum etc. I have a fully stocked kitchen with a decent amount of cooking equipment and a Nespresso machine.
I have owned the flat for three years and very much made it a home - as you can see from the pictures, I’m a bit of a maximalist, so if you’re sick of identikit white box bedrooms, this eccentric lemur-patterned room may be for you! It has built-in wardrobes (and the bed has four built-in drawers as well) and electric blinds. I am happy to move some furniture around - I have a corner desk and monitor which would fit nicely in there, and may be useful if you ever work from home, or you can keep the armchair instead.
I have Sky TV and WiFi which are included in the rent, and if you want to bring/buy a TV for your bedroom, an additional Sky Q box is only £10/month to add.
The area is well connected with the BPS tube station five minutes away. The BPS development is very buzzy with a nice residents’ community and lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
About me: I’m a 33-year-old lawyer and a big Star Wars/fantasy nerd as you can probably tell from the decor and gallery wall! I like cooking, good wine and cocktails, sewing (I’m a keen cosplayer), history, travelling, fitness classes, long walks, good coffee and many other things. I’m an animal lover so not averse to a well-trained and small-to-medium sized animal companion if you have one.
I’m looking for a friendly roommate around my own age, who is up for some socialising but not a big party animal (or at least, not in the flat!). I love the occasional dinner party and having a couple of friends around for some wine or cocktails, but otherwise aim for my place to be very much a calm little oasis.
Please do get in touch and if it sounds like the place may work for you, let’s get a coffee or glass of wine and have a chat!
Rent includes: WiFi, Sky TV, the service charge covering the residents’ amenities, and a handyman service which I pay for annually - they maintain the air con units, appliances etc and will do other maintenance or handyman jobs as needed for a discounted rate.
Not included - council tax (115 per month), water, electricity and heating/cooling, which we would split 50/50. I’d estimate these costs would be around 150-175/month total per person, but of course this depends on usage. I’d also be keen to discuss splitting a cleaner every few weeks for bathroom/floor cleaning.
