I have a lovely fresh double room to rent, with private bathroom, available 1 July 2024 suitable for a female working or studying masters /PHDin Glasgow from a few months - a year or so, The room is recently painted and has white wooden furniture, a double bed, 2 double wardrobes, 2 bedside tables, table and chair , mirror, TV with freeview duvet with duvet set plus spare sets and a set of towels. There is also an iron and a clothes drier in the room.
Outside the room is your private bathroom (I have an en suite) which is spacious with a bath and electric shower.
The room is in a two bed roomed flat with broadband and has gas central heating, double glazing, secure entry and is 1 floor up in a traditional tenement building with good neighbours.
The kitchen is fully functional, red and white colour scheme and has a washing machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, plenty of crockery, cutlery and cookware as well as a bar table and stools for dining. A fridge freezer with your own shelves and your own food cupboard.
The living room however is not communal and is for the sole use of the owner.
The rent is £700 which includes council tax , factor fee / building insurance, broadband , gas and electricity with mindful use and assuming that you are mostly at work/ University during day hours? ( If you are a student the rent will be £675as you are exempt from council tax.
Also provided in the rent is toilet paper handwash communal cleaning products for the kitchen, fairy liquid , flash , bin bags etc within reasonable use... and no specific brands.
The flat is just off Dumbarton road, situated in Apsley Street and is in a high amenity area 5 minute walk from Partick train station, underground, bus station, Morrison’s Supermarket and Lidl. A three minute walk from the retail park at Crow road, Sainsbury’s, Marks and Spencer, Boots the Chemist, Argos, Home Bargains, 24 hour McDonalds, Cafe Nero plus a few minutes walk form the many delights of Dumbarton Road, lots of Charity shops and trendy and traditional places to eat and drink. Twenty minutes walk will take you to the University of Glasgow. Glasgow Caledonian University and Strathclyde University can be reached by underground or train.
A little bit about me. I am a youthful 61 year old and work at City Council. I am friendly and helpful , early bed during the week dinner some wine /gin TV or a class and
a bit of socialising at the weekend. , My boyfriend stays over a few nights per week .
I tend to do the communal cleaning of the kitchen and only ask of the tenant to clear up their own dishes and to take turns taking the rubbish/recycling out. We have a small communal back garden which is kept neat and has a patio area with benches for communal use.
All of my previous tenants enjoyed staying here in a safe, friendly environment…. (References as a landlady can be provided)
