AFFORDABLE accommodation offered in Harrow HA1 area, excellent opportunity for a female who is looking to live in a lovely home.

We are a Not-for-Profit charity in London who run a Homeshare programme, where we find Homesharers who are willing to provide approximately 10 hours a week of help/support, companionship and overnight security to a householder who has a spare room.

TRANSPORT
• 8 minute walk to nearest bus stop 140, 182, 183, 186, 258, & X140
• 2 minute walk to Harrow and Wealdstone station, London Overground and London Underground on the Bakerloo line

HOUSEHOLDER
A lovely gentleman in his 70’s, lives in a quaint 2 bedroom ground floor flat with a well maintained communal garden in Harrow. He enjoys short walks, watching TV, listening to music and playing card games, enjoys socialising with friends and family when the opportunity arises.

He prepares his own breakfast and lunch, he is very health conscious and requires support with preparation of evening meals.

The ideal homesharer would be someone who is a kind, calm and friendly. It would be nice if the homesharer can cook evening meals to share and enjoy together. Friendship and companionship are important, so spending some time together at the weekends and evening. Help with some light housework, odd jobs, shopping and encourage and accompany him in taking short walks.
It would be good if the homesharer has a full driving licence, though not essential.

He has family and friends living some distance away that try to visit as regularly as possible. He feels that overnight presence is essential.

ACCOMMODATION
2-bedroom ground floor flat with a shared living/dining room, kitchen and bathroom with shower.
Nicely maintained communal garden space with table and chair/s.

The homesharer will have the average sized bedroom with single bed with storage in, standing wardrobe with a chest of drawers with plenty of storage room. The room overlooks the garden.

Internet is available.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The room is available early July subject to DBS, Reference and ID checks and after an initial meeting has been organised.
