2 double rooms in communal house - couples welcome

We have two rooms available in our beautiful 5-bedroom Kemptown house: - A double with en suite available late July (though there might be some flexibility here) - couples welcome with rent at £1246
- A smaller double available mid August

You'll be living with Mark, an experimental musician and freelance software engineer; Ellie, a nonprofit network builder and community organiser; and Mel, a free-spirited occupational therapist. We all love communal living and are looking for someone who enjoys this too :)

A bit about the house:
- Fully furnished, but there's potentially room for a few extra pieces
- A bright kitchen, lounge, co-working room and basement music and movie room, with jam nights aplenty
- Outdoor bath (dreamy!) and fire pit in the small garden

About the area:
- Kemptown is gorgeous
- There are independent shops and amazing restaurants and coffee shops right on our road, and we are right next door to three grocery stores
- 5 mins walk to the beach, with stunning sunsets and sunrises
- 20-minute walk into Brighton centre or the South Downs
- Beautiful cliff walks nearby

About the rooms:
- The first room, which is the en suite, is on the first floor and comes with a double bed, bedside table, wardrobe, mirror and a small storage unit. It’s very spacious and sunny with a big south-facing window.
- The second room is on the second floor and comes with double bed, bedside table, chest of drawers and wardrobe, plus shelves. It’s at the back of the house so more peaceful and has a big window and rooftop views.

Additional rooms:
- We have a coworking room available for all housemates to use, which is great for working from home. Housemates pay extra for this, based on use, and the rest of the time it’s a spare room for guests.
- We have a basement movie and music room, which is great for dancing in!

How we live:
- Vegan household, lots of communal cooking and eating together
- We get a weekly organic veg box and wholesale food deliveries from Infinity Foods co-op
- Food, bills and communal activities (‘Pasta Monday' etc. plus fortnightly cleaning) are bought together and shared equally on Splitwise
- We like making and listening to music, boogies in the basement, cosy nights in, creative projects, building businesses together, exploring Brighton, beach walks and sea swims
- The house revolves around cups of tea and friendly vibes
- We also have a lovely community of friends in Kemptown (some of whom currently also have a room available - ad ref # 17015831)
- We're looking for anyone keen to share ideas, fun and good energy 🙂

We’ve recently been having some house renovations to fix damp, so there’s currently scaffolding in the garden and some plastering needed inside - it’s not looking its best but at least it means we’ve had the issues fixed!
