We are looking for a new housemate for our big beautiful house in the Roundhill area!

Who we are:

We’re 4 working professionals of ages 30-40. 2 of us work in the charity sector, 1 of us in Music and 1 of us is a gardener. We are clean, considerate and friendly. It’s a social house but we are also all quite busy with work/life things a lot of the time. When we’re not we enjoy eating together, watching movies, pub trips, going on walks and making the most of what Brighton has to offer! We sometimes have friends stay, but everyone is considerate and thoughtful and we always check-in with each other before anything like this.

Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is clean, considerate and friendly! We’d like someone who is up for getting involved in the house dynamic but we are obviously respectful of people’s boundaries and space. When you reply, please tell us a little bit about yourself! What do you do? What are your hobbies? What is your current living situation and why are you looking for somewhere? We’d like you to be someone we can get to know and hang out with as well as living with!

What is the room like:
The room is a nice and quiet small sized double which is currently unfurnished. It is on the second floor with a back facing window, looking out onto the trees in the garden! It has enough space if you are someone who might be out and about often, as it is the smallest of the rooms in the house.

What’s the location like:
The house is very close to the main section of Lewes road, 15 mins walk from Brighton station and close to bus links across the city. It is 5 minutes from a big Sainsbury and 10 minutes from an even bigger Aldi. There are also lots of nice pubs and cafes all very close by. Central Brighton is about a 15 minute walk (or 10 minute bus). It’s very close to lots of nice walking locations and parks!

How much does it cost:
Rent will be £450pcm (paid direct to private landlord on 1st of each month) and bills come to about £100 a month and must set-up via standing order. We also all put in £13 for a month for a cleaner and £10 every couple of months for a house kitty (for things like cleaning supplies/toilet roll etc which we try to bulk by).

Deposit:
The deposit is £600 and the landlord wants each tenant to have a guarantor or reference. The landlord will pass the deposit to the Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS) who holds the money.

Other information:
If you drive then there is on street parking outside the house and currently no wait list for resident permits in this area. If you cycle, then there is room for you to store your bike inside.

Unfortunately, there is no disabled/wheel chair access to the house. There are steep steps leading up to the main door.

When is it available:
The tenancy for the room will be available from 1st July. Flexibility for move in date - happy to discuss.
